Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards is the bookies favourite to win a Royal Rumble battle between Sky Sports pundits, according to exclusive odds compiled by SportsLens.

  • SportsLens reveal Micah Richards as evens favourite to win Sky Sports Royal Rumble
  • Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane shortly behind in the betting
  • Gary Neville, Graeme Souness and Jamie Redknapp priced as outsiders

The Sky Sports Premier League crew are well known for their on-screen entertainment every week during the domestic season, but what if they decided to have a Royal Rumble showdown instead?

We had our trader price up the brawl which favours the youngest member of the team, Micah Richards quite nicely.

Sky Sports Royal Rumble Odds

  • Micah Richards – 1/1
  • Jamie Carragher – 4/1
  • Roy Keane – 5/1
  • Gary Neville – 9/1
  • Graeme Souness – 10/1
  • Jamie Redknapp – 14/1

SportsLens Head of News Lee Astley said: “Micah Richards is only a few years out of retirement from the game and is in by far the best physical shape amongst Sky Sports pundits, so he’s rightfully the evens favourite.

“Richards is no stranger to confrontation either and even fought his team-mate Mario Balotelli during a training ground bust-up whilst at Manchester City in 2011.

“Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane both look to be solid bets and were involved in many altercations during their footballing careers. Keane takes the edge on experience but Carragher is six years younger than the Irishman.

“Gary Neville is probably the least menacing of the lot but is still in good shape and stands a slight chance. Graeme Souness is certainly past his physical peak at 70-years-old but the Scotsman undoubtedly packs a hard punch.

“Jamie Redknapp is the longest shot in the betting at 14/1, mainly due to the injury issues that plagued his footballing career and there’s no guarantee his knee would be able to hold up in the ring.”

Roy Keane looks to be the value pick at 5/1 in the market

Roy Keane might be 51 and long gone from his days of being the most intimidating man in the room, but he is the most experienced of the field in terms of combat.

He threw a punch at Alan Shearer on the pitch, fought Peter Schmeichel in front of Bobby Charlton at Manchester United’s team hotel and was even arrested in 1999 for allegedly assaulting a woman in a bar, which he denied.

Confident Jamie Carragher stands as second favourite in the betting

Jamie Carragher was once asked if he could fight one footballer or ex-footballer who would it be, to which he replied: “Gary Neville. I’d knock the f**k out of him.”

Certainly fighting talk from the Scouser, who was involved in his fair share of scraps during his playing career against team-mates Alvaro Arbeloa and Pepe Reina.
