Barcelona boss Xavi has seemingly forgotten Bruno Fernandes’ name ahead of his sides crucial clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday in the Europa League

The former Barca ace called him ‘the Portuguese guy’ as he was naming United danger-men ahead of the game.

Xavi was speaking to the media, and was asked about Ten Hag and how he’s doing with this United side.

“He has built a team and is getting the best out of all his players. That speaks well of him. Tactically he is very good and he handles the dressing room very well.

“He is getting all the talent out of his players. You see (Jadon) Sancho, (Marcus) Rashford, the Portuguese guy (Bruno Fernandes). And look how Fred is playing…”

Manchester United Twitter had a lot to say about this one, as they do so often coming to the aid of their players.

One fan tweeted Fernandes’ stats for the season as he challenged Xavi on his reference to the Portugal international.

Some believe that Xavi may have added fuel to the fire with this one, with predictions of Fernandes reacting to the comments made by the Barcelona boss.

Another fan showed Xavi exactly who he was talking about, with Fernandes playing at a very high level this season. The Portuguese guy has been producing some insanely good average ratings.
