Manchester United have seen their chances of winning the league after beating Leeds 2-0 and odds drop to 16/1, according to UK betting sites.
Late goals from Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho secured all three points for the Red Devils and moved them up to second in the Premier League. Manchester City have the chance to reclaim their place in second as they Aston Villa this afternoon.
Leeds were the more dominant side in the first-half, with their best chance falling to Crysencio Summerville, who saw his shot fly over the bar. Bruno Fernandes had the chance to take the lead, but Illan Meslier kept out his effort following a Maximillian Wober mistake.
United improved in the second-half and after 80 minutes, Marcus Rashford broke the deadlock with a well-taken header. Substitute Garnacho then sealed the three points with a sublime near-post finish and Erik ten Hag’s side kept their title hopes alive.
Harry Maguire was a surprise inclusion in today’s starting XI, with the defender being moved to the bench following the performances of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane. However, after helping his side to a clean-sheet Maguire spoke about his current situation.
