Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Bayern Munich star, Noussair Mazraoui, after the defender’s rant over his playing time under Thomas Tuchel.

Bayern Munich crashed out of the Champions League on Wednesday, with a 4-1 aggregate loss to Manchester City being enough to end their time in Europe’s biggest stage.

Since his appointment last month, Tuchel has now seen his side be eliminated from the DFB Pokal and UCL. While also being sent to the stands in the second-leg against Pep Guardiola’s side.

The Bundesliga side are still favourites to win the league title, a trophy that they have won for the last 10 seasons consecutively.

However, their performance in Europe has disgruntled supporters and left them questioning the appointment of the former Chelsea manager.

One player that has expressed his frustration about Munich’s current situation is Noussair Mazraoui, the Morocco international was a regular prior to the World Cup.

The recent signing of Joao Cancelo and an inflammation injury has seen the 25-year-old’s playing time dwindle significantly. Which has clearly frustrated the defender, as in a recent interview he revealed the uncertainty surrounding his future in Germany.

The Moroccan international said:  “I was a starter here before the World Cup. Now I’m fit and don’t get any game time. I’m not even second or third choice.  It’s too early to talk about my perspective here – but it’s not good!”

Manchester United are reportedly interested in bringing a full-back to Old Trafford over the summer, with Bayer Leverkusen star, Jeremie Frimpong being the most likely.

However, the Netherlands international could cost over £50m, which could cause ten Hag to look elsewhere. The Red Devils manager has worked with Mazraoui previously, and could be a potential alternative come the transfer window.
