Manchester United head into their second Premier League campaign under Erik ten Hag full of optimism and encouragement off the back of a productive transfer window, with activity likely to continue until it shuts on September 1.

After finishing third last season and booking their return to the Champions League, the consensus of United fans were satisfied with the progress under ten Hag but due to the sheer strength of frontrunners Manchester City and Arsenal, it’ll be hard to make a proper run at the title.

They have completed some nice business however and addressed a number of key issues within their squad, which should create room for an all-round improvement once again.

With that in mind, here is Manchester United’s confirmed squad for the 2023-24 Premier League season.

Can Erik ten Hag continue to lead Manchester United revolution with proven winning formula?

Last season, ten Hag guided United to their first piece of silverware in six years with triumph in the EFL Cup but it remains to be seen whether the Dutchman’s winning formula can stand the test of time.

Arrivals such as Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund should hand the Red Devils a huge boost but they could find themselves thin on squad depth if the proposed departures of Donny van de Beek, Fred, Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly and Dean Henderson all go through.

It’s unlikely all of those players will leave, but United will need to remain active in the transfer market until the end to make adequate replacements.
