Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan goalkeeper, Andre Onana, as the future of David De Gea remains in doubt.
United’s long-time goalkeeper has been a consistent presence over the last decade, making 545 appearances for the Red Devils since signing in 2011.
During this time the Spaniard has won the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League and two Carabao Cups – establishing himself as one of the league’s finest shot-stoppers.
However, the 34-year-old has faced a huge amount of criticism over recent years and is now on the cusp of leaving Manchester despite winning the golden glove in the 2022-23 campaign.
As his contract negotiations continue, Erik ten Hag is on the hunt for a younger goalie, who is more confident with the ball at their feet.
One player that is reportedly high on United’s wish list is Inter Milan star, Andre Onana, who has become one of the hottest prospects in Europe.

The Cameroon international burst onto the scene during his time in Holland, where he made 214 appearances for Ajax and even played under the current United manager.
After impressing in the Eredivisie, Onana moved to Inter Milan and has cemented his place as the number one goalkeeper under Simone Inzaghi.
However, the 27-year-old faced a wave of controversy during his final season in Holland, as in 2021 he was handed a nine-month ban following a reported failed drugs test.
Despite this, Onana worked his way back into Europe’s highest level of football and was a huge factor in Inter’s progression to the Champions League final last season.
The former Ajax player is under contract at the San Siro until 2027, meaning any deal to sign him this summer could cost up to £80m. United’s interest is said to be genuine, leaving the club with a decision to make as they look to spend whilst a takeover is yet to be finalised.
