Manchester City’s injury list keeps on growing but with games coming up against the likes of Newcastle and Arsenal, how will they cope.
Bernardo Silva was the latest to pick up an injury in last nights Champions League fixture against Red Star Belgrade. He joins the injury list that already consists of John Stones, Jack Grealish, Mateo Kovacic and Kevin De Bruyne. Luckily for Pep Guardiola, options have never been a problem for his side and the first team 11 will manage but with more and more injuries the team bench looks less powerful than it should. The Man City bench featured two goalkeepers and youngster Oscar Bob who came on in the 83rd minute.
Man City V Nottingham Forest – 23rd September
This one should be pretty straightforward for City. They’re at home against a side battling relegation so expect a hefty one-sided score line there.
Newcastle V Man City – 27th September
This Carabao Cup tie is an intriguing one as both sides would be expected to go far in the tournament. Newcastle have had a rocky start to the season but i’m sure they’ll be backing themselves to get a result under the light at St. James Park.
Wolves V Man City – 30th September
Wolves are struggling to tuck chances away and Man City have kept the most clean sheets this season in the Premier League so far, expect nothing but a City win.
RB Leipzig – Man City – 4th October
Leipzig have an abundance of talent that can cause City’s backline some problems but the current Champions should be coming out of that one unscathed.
Arsenal V Man City – 8th October
One of the hardest games of the season for both respected teams. Arsenal will want revenge after getting caught cold in the final few games to hand the title to Man City. This will be a close one. City will want all the players back they can get.
Bar a couple, Man City’s next five fixtures should be a straightforward job but nothing is ever as it seems in football. Let’s see who Man City’s competitors have coming up
