There has been yet another twist in the Declan Rice transfer saga this summer as Manchester City have now entered the race to sign West Ham’s captain.
Arsenal have been leading the race to sign Declan Rice this summer, but the Gunners have now had two bids for the midfielder rejected.
The improved bid from the Gunners was reportedly worth around £75 million, with £15 million in add-ons bringing the total bid to around £90m.
West Ham rejected the second Arsenal bid as they believed the add-ons Mikel Arteta’s side were discussing would not amount to £15m – and £75m alone was not enough to secure Rice.
With the Hammers rejecting Arsenal’s second bid, Manchester City are now set to join the race to sign Rice this summer.

City have just parted ways with Veteran midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and with a new midfielder one of the Citizens top priorities this season, Declan Rice could be the perfect replacement.
Pep Guardiola has already confirmed City’s first signing of the summer, as Mateo Kovacic completed a move from Chelsea earlier this week.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Rice is open to a move to any club this summer, even though we don’t know the amount City have offered West Ham yet.
