According to UK betting sites, Manchester City are in the running to sign PSG midfielder, Marco Verratti, as Juventus also show interest.

Pep Guardiola is on the cusp on guiding Manchester City to their first Champions League trophy and more importantly, two wins from the illustrious treble.

The Cityzens clinched the Premier League with three matches to play, after Arsenal’s defeat to Nottingham Forest and that completed three consecutive title-winning seasons.

If Guardiola’s side can completed the treble then that poses the question of, how can the club improve? With the summer window approaching, the blue side of Manchester are expecting minimal changes to their squad.

However, according to UK betting sites, the Premier League champions are in contention to sign PSG midfielder, Marco Verratti.

The Italian midfielder has been at the heart of the club’s midfield for 11 years, making 415 appearances and contributing to 72 goals.

Verratti’s contract in Paris is set to expire in 2026, but after PSG crashed out of the Champions League in the round of 16, rumours over the 30-year-old’s future started to circulate.

A host of players have been linked with a move away from Paris this summer, as Lionel Messi is set to return to Barcelona after a public fall-out with the Ligue 1 side.

The Argentinian forward was suspended for two weeks after an unauthorised absence from training, which lead to supporters jeering Messi for the remaining league fixtures.

Messi’s departure may be the catalyst for a huge offload at Parce des Princes this summer, as Manchester City are not the only side interested in Verratti.

Serie A giants, Juventus, are the bookies’ favourites to land the Italian’s signature, despite the Old Lady failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
