According to UK betting sites, Manchester City are favourites to sign Borussia Dortmund star, Jude Bellingham, despite Liverpool’s interest.
The England international has cemented his place amongst Europe’s elite over recent years, being a regular for both club and country. At 19-years of age, Bellingham has attracted interest from club’s across the globe with his mature performances.
Bursting onto the scene at Birmingham in 2019, the midfielder earned himself a move to Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund at only 17-years-old. Since then he has made 128 appearances and contributed to 45 goals (20 goals & 25 assists).
During his time in Germany, the young superstar has worked his way into Gareth Southgate’s England side. Making the Euro 2021 squad, a tournament that included his 18th birthday.
One club that have been linked with Bellingham repeatedly is Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, as they look to strengthen in the midfield area for next season.
However, due to Dortmund pricing the England star at ‘£100m’, the Liverpool manager has revealed that is unlikely that he will be managing Bellingham next year – comparing the move to a ‘child wanting a Ferrari’.

If the Reds fail in their pursuit, then there are a host of other clubs that have shown interest in the former Birmingham midfielder. With Liverpool’s long term Premier League rivals, Manchester City, being the bookies’ favourites to land Bellingham’s signature.
Guardiola’s side are currently in a rich run of form, being undefeated in their last 10 matches in all competitions – which included a streak of nine straight victories.
The blue side of Manchester are now in the semi-final of the Champions League, after beating Bayern Munich 4-1 over two legs. Meaning that they are on course to win their first European trophy and end Guardiola’s 11-year wait for the UCL title.
Many believe that the Citizens will also win their third successive Premier League title, after Arsenal’s recent performances. The pair meet on April 26th, which could decide not just the title race, but also where Bellingham will be next season.
