Manchester City have reportedly accepted a bid from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr for Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte following reports of interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
After securing an iconic treble last season, Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte looks to depart the Etihad Stadium this summer.
The Spaniard was in tears after City secured the Champions League title in June, leaving many with the firm belief that he would exit at the end of the campaign.
And despite being involved throughout pre-season and even appearing in the Premier League opener against Burnley, his move away looks to be edging ever closer.
According to several reports, the Cityzens have accepted an undisclosed bid from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr for the defender, with the 29-year-old reportedly open to the move.
This comes just a day after Arsenal registered their interest in the ex-Athletic Bilbao man following Jurrien Timber‘s serious injury in their league opener versus Nottingham Forest.
City are thought to be apprehensive about selling to the Gunners though, having already sold Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko to them, as well as their emergence as a serious title contender, therefore a Saudi move would suit Pep Guardiola’s side significantly more.

With two years remaining on his deal in Manchester, Laporte looks set to become the third major Cityzens departure this summer.
Ilkay Gundogan joined Barcelona earlier in the window, whilst Riyad Mahrez made the Saudi switch by linking up with Roberto Firmino and co. at Al-Ahli.
If a deal is completed, Laporte will link up with Cristiano Ronaldo in the Middle East, as well as their summer arrivals Sadio Mane, Seko Fofana, Alex Telles, and Marcelo Brozovic.
