Luton vs Manchester City Preview

On paper this game is a very simple one, as the Premier League champions take on newly promoted Luton who are at opposite ends of the table.

Although Luton remain near the bottom of the league, they have exceeded everyones expectations in recent weeks and they are only one point adrift of safety after 15 games.

The Hatters were extremely unlucky to not hold on to a win against Arsenal during the week, with a Declan Rice header deep into added time breaking hearts at Kenilworth Road in a seven goal thriller.

Manchester City on the other hand have not been living up to expectations in the league this season, with Pep Guardiola’s side trailing Arsenal by six points in fourth.

City haven’t recorded a win in their last five games, with a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in the week keeping a winless streak in the league going.

Prior to their loss against Villa, City drew three games in a row against Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea which has left them struggling in the league.
