Coming from the famous ‘Class of Cobham’, Mount has been a consistent member in the Chelsea squad over recent years. Making his debut for the club in 2019 under Frank Lampard, the England international has become one of the brightest prospects in the Premier League.

However, this season has been far more challenging for the the 24-year-old, as he became out of favour under Graham Potter. Mount’s last 90 minutes came back in January, with the midfielder missing the last five matches through injury.

Rumours about the the former Derby County loanee possibly moving on from Chelsea in the summer have started to circulate, with Liverpool being favourites to pry him away from Stamford Bridge.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are having just as difficult of a season as their top six rivals, sitting eighth in the table and are looking unlikely to qualify for the UCL. The Reds were also dismantled in Europe’s competition, losing 6-2 across two-legs against Real Madrid.

The red side of Merseyside have been linked with a variety of English superstars, with Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice being high on their shortlist. However, Mount appears to be topping this list, as according to reports, the early stages have been ‘productive’.
