Liverpool’s odds to win the Premier League title have shortened following today’s 3-0 win at home vs Aston Villa, continuing the side’s unbeaten start to the season.

Dominik Szoboszlai opened his account for Liverpool after just three minutes, firing home with a superb effort on the half-volley on the edge of the area from a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner.

Darwin Nunez helped to double the lead shortly after the 20 minute mark when his close range effort cannoned off the post and found its way in off a helpless Matty Cash in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Mohamed Salah wrapped it up just before the hour mark, poking home at the back post from another corner which was met by a glancing header from Nunez to send the Reds up to third in the table.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have won three on the bounce against Bournemouth, Newcastle and Villa following an opening day draw at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

Salah has now recorded a goal involvement in ten consecutive Premier League games but the Egyptian’s future at Anfield remains in the balance after he was the subject of a £150m bid from Al-Ittihad on deadline day. The Saudi window is still open for another week, so keep your eyes peeled on that front.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 15 league outings, the current longest run in the division with ten wins and five draws in their stride. We can expect this to continue further with upcoming fixtures against Wolves and West Ham on the horizon.

According to Premier League betting sites, the 19-time champions hold an implied probability of 10% to win a 20th this season with odds of 9/1 and they look like a solid value pick to dethrone Manchester City.
