According to UK betting sites, Liverpool have emerged as contenders to sign Brighton midfielder, Moises Caicedo, despite Arsenal’s continued interest.
Since signing for the Seagulls in 2019, the Ecuadorian midfielder has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League. Being a pivotal part of Brighton’s squad under both Graham Potter, and Roberto De Zerbi.
Making 33 appearances in all competitions, the 21-year-old has continued his superb performances this season. His consistency has helped Brighton reach the FA Cup semi final for the first time in over 30 years.
This constant quality and ability to be a leader at such a young age has caught the attention of some of England’s best clubs. Arsenal looked set to sign the youngster in January before talks broke down, with Caicedo even posting a message on social media to push for a move to the Gunners.
The Brighton star wrote: “I am grateful to Mr. Bloom and Brighton for giving me the chance to come to the Premier League and I feel I have always done my best for them. I always play football with a smile and with heart,”

However, despite the Ecuadorian’s clear admiration for Mikel Arteta’s side the Gunners will face stiff competition, with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool looking to hijack the move.
The Reds are having their poorest season since Klopp’s arrival, as Champions League qualification looks a distant dream. Their run in Europe came to an abrupt end, after receiving a 5-2 aggregate thrashing to La Liga giants, Real Madrid.
According to reports, the red side of Merseyside are interested in signing the Brighton midfielder and could even opt for Caicedo over long-time target, Jude Bellingham.
