Liverpool have officially confirmed the signing of Hungarian international Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig on a five-year contract.
Dominik Szoboszlai has officially been unveiled as a Liverpool player, signing on a five-year contract from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
Szoboszlai becomed the Reds’ second signing of the summer, having already acquired Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton last month.
The Hungarian international joins after Liverpool reportedly triggered his €70m release clause after two-and-a-half years in Leipzig.
This comes following Fabio Carvalho going the other way, after the Portuguese youngster joined the German side on a season-long loan without an option to buy.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Szoboszlai expressed his delight at finalising the move to Merseyside.
“It’s really, really good. I enjoyed the last [few] days and I’m looking forward to knowing everybody better.” he said.
“The last three or four days went really long; it was not that easy. But at the end I’m here, I’m happy and I can’t wait to get started.
“[A] really historic club, really good players, good coach, everything is good. For me it was perfect to make the next step in a club like this. The fans, the stadium, everything is really good.”
Szoboszlai will wear the number eight shirt at Anfield, citing Steven Gerrard as a reason for choosing the iconic number.
“I have a tattoo from Steven Gerrard. That was a reason why. When I was a child, to be honest I didn’t watch that much football, but when it was Champions League, I watched and he was one of the biggest.”
