Leicester City are eyeing a move for talented Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo but face stiff competition from Premier League sides with Burnley and Sheffield United reportedly interested in his signature too.

Amad Diallo Wanted By Leicester As Harvey Barnes Replacement

Harvey Barnes looks likely to be the second big name to leave Leicester this summer with Newcastle United, West Ham and Aston Villa all said to admire him. However, it looks like Eddie Howe’s side are in pole position to sign him.

The Foxes see United winger Amad Diallo as an ideal replacement for Barnes but face tough competition from Burnley and Sheffield United, who were both promoted to the Premier League last season as Leicester were relegated.

Diallo impressed on loan at Sunderland last campaign and scored 14 goals as the Black Cats made it to the Championship play-offs.

This news comes as Leicester look to miss out on Manchester City youngster Cole Palmer. Brighton are reportedly leading the race to sign the 21-year-old.

It has already been a busy summer for the Foxes after already signing Harry Winks, Conor Coady and Callum Doyle.

More signings are expected in the next couple of weeks as Enzo Maresca prepares his side for an instant return to the top flight. The club are reportedly close to signing Brondby goalkeeper Mads Hermansen for around £5m.
