Latest Boodles Juvenile Hurdle Odds – Tekao Heads The Betting

The Cheltenham odds for the penultimate race on Day 1 of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival indicate that Tekao will go off as the betting favourite to win the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.

The 4-year-old gelding currently heads the market at odds of around 4/1 with the best horse racing betting sites. Tekao has won two of his four racing starts and looks like he could be a really promising horse, hence why he is the betting favourite here.

The French racehorse has never raced on UK soil before, with the majority of his runs coming over in Ireland at Leopardstown and Navan respectively.

It comes as no surprise to see him as the bookies favourite here in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle, given his recent performances and who his trainer is. He certainly looks the strongest horse in the race and is certainly the one to beat here in the sixth race on Day 1 of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.

Trainer Willie Mullins has real faith in his 4-year-old and will be hoping for a win here in the Boodles Juvenile Hurdle with his gelding. If Tekao were to go on to win, this could well be Mullins’ 90th winner at the Cheltenham Festival, depending on how his horses perform in the five races prior to this one.

Tekao’s biggest threat in the race come from the Charles Byrnes trained Byker. He is the second favourite in the Boodles Juvenile Hurdle on Tuesday and it is clear to see why. The Irish gelding is priced at odds of around 13/2 with the best Cheltenham betting sites.

Threats could come from some other horses too in this race for Tekao. Risk Belle, Bad and Sir Allen all look to be in good form and are strong contenders in this one too. However, if Tekao is on top form, he will be hard to stop here in the penultimate race on Day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival.

Mullins’ 4-year-old however has every chance of winning here as the favourite. Fellow legendary trainer Nicky Henderson also has an outsider in Arclight in the sixth race on Day 1 in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.
