Despite committing to another two years in Paris prior to this season, the latest Kylian Mbappe transfer news suggests the exit door may become a genuine possibility once again in the not so distant future.
Kylian Mbappe is perhaps the most sought after player in world football at this moment in time, and his Golden Boot-winning World Cup campaign at the tail end of 2022 will have only increased his stock further.
The Frenchman shocked everyone by committing his future to PSG before the start of the season, despite publicly expressing his desire to leave amid an official bid worth in excess of £150 million from long-term admirers Real Madrid.
Los Blancos president Florentino Pérez even called out the 24-year-old in the press, saying, “this is not the Mbappe I wanted… he must have changed his dream” after snubbing a move to the Spanish capital, in favour of a bumper contract extension worth near-enough £900,000-a-week.
However, a move away from PSG, whom Mbappe became joint-all-time top scorer this week, may well be edging closer with French newspaper L’Equipe revealing the stipulations of the final year in his contract, or lack thereof, could allow him to leave earlier than anticipated.

The three-year contract signed just before the season started actually only ensures he is tied down for two, with a third added as an optional extra.
According to reports, in order to enact this extended option on his contract, Mbappe will have to take up the opportunity in the next four months or else enter the final year of his current deal, once this season has concluded.
This would once again invite potential suitors, who may be able to negotiate a cut price given the amount of time left on his contract.
Despite Real Madrid being thought of as the inevitable next destination for Mbappe, Manchester United have emerged as new favourites according to football betting sites, with the Glazer family in the process of handing the club over to new owners. Takeover bids from Qatar and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS consortium may well provide enough economic firepower to make a move for the PSG star should an opportunity arise, while their continued resurgence in form may catch the eye of Mbappe.
