PSG star Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told his employers to make a new approach for former team-mate and Manchester City forward Bernardo Silva.

The Portuguese international’s future in Manchester is in doubt, as it is understood that the 28-year-old is keen on a move nearer to his homeland.

Over the last couple of seasons, he has asked Manchester City to listen to offers for him, but nothing suitable has been offered.

PSG has been one of the clubs to express a strong interest in signing Silva, with former Monaco team-mate Kylian Mbappe reportedly urging the club to secure his signature.

The pair played alongside each other in the Principality between 2015 and 2017, before Silva made the move to the Premier League, and Mbappe joined the Parisiens.

Mbappe was recently made vice-captain at PSG and has had an influential role within the club since rejecting interest from Real Madrid and signing a new contract at the French capital.

Silva’s contract at the Etihad runs until the summer of 2025, but Pep Guardiola’s side is unlikely to let him leave unless a substantial offer comes in.

City currently sit in 2nd place in the Premier League table, trailing leaders Arsenal by five points, and are, according to Premier League betting sites, currently priced at around 6/5 to be crowned league champions.

PSG however, are three points clear at the summit of the Ligue 1 table, and are clear favourites to earn an 11th league title, according to Ligue 1 betting sites.
