The latest Kyle Walker injury update is a positive one for England after he was seen back in training on Thursday despite missing sessions earlier on in the week.

Kyle Walker Injury Update: City Defender Returns To England Training

The Manchester City right-back had an injury scare earlier on in the week after he didn’t join the rest of his Three Lions teammates in a full training session.

Instead the 33-year-old trained on his own, away from the group in the gym. This led people to fear he may be withdrawn from the squad like Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka.

It was announced on Tuesday that Walker was working alone indoors. The official England Twitter account, now known as X, posted the update.

Walker scored his first goal for England in the last round of international matches, when he got the equaliser against Ukraine with a smart finish.

The City defender has had a busy week as he confronted former colleague Nicolas Jover after the final whistle in the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal. Jover used to work at City, and he once again refused to shake hands with players, just like he did last season.

Walker confronted him at full-time and it got heated, with Erling Haaland stepping in to back his teammate up with the former eventually being led down the tunnel to keep him away from the Gunners set-piece coach.

The Cityzens have five players in the Three Lions squad for the games against Australia and Italy. Walker is joined by John Stones, Kalvin Phillips, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish.
