In the unlikely event of a Royal Rumble style battle between Conservative Party members, Kwasi Kwarteng leads the market according to exclusive odds compiled by SportsLens.

  • Betting traders price former Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng as heavy favourite
  • Dominic Raab and Boris Johnson in the mix at the head of the market

The Conservative Party are in a bit of a pickle as it stands. They are set to lose even more seats in the three upcoming by-elections and Rishi Sunak has mostly failed to deliver on his five targets.

Who’s to say they can’t just forget about politics and scrap it out for our entertainment? We had our trader price up the brawl.

Conservative Party Royal Rumble Odds

  • Kwasi Kwarteng – 11/10
  • Dominic Raab – 4/1
  • Boris Johnson – 6/1
  • Jeremy Hunt – 9/1
  • Sajid Javid – 12/1
  • Jacob Rees-Mogg – 16/1
  • Matt Hancock – 20/1
  • Rishi Sunak – 50/1

SportsLens Head of News Lee Astley said: “Just about everything is going wrong for the Conservatives right now and Labour are the odds-on favourites to take power in the next general election.

“Rishi Sunak’s approval rating within the party is the lowest it has been since February, plummeting to minus eight. The only right way to settle this turmoil is with a Royal Rumble.

“Kwasi Kwarteng is a tall, menacing figure compared to his peers and rightfully leads the market. There isn’t much competition there with Dominic Raab and Boris Johnson his main threats in the betting and he should make light work of his fellow party members.”

Rishi Sunak and Matt Hancock highlight the back end of the market

50/1 Rishi Sunak and 20/1 Matt Hancock have been handed unlikely chances to reign victorious in the Tory Party Royal Rumble. Many of the members likely couldn’t wait to get their hands on Sunak and he’d face a swift elimination.

Hancock showed some decent survival skills in the jungle whilst appearing on I’m A Celebrity, so there’s the potential of him staying out of trouble for a short while but he really doesn’t look like the type that would thrive in the ring.

Dominic Raab and Boris Johnson pose the biggest threat to Kwasi Kwarteng

Raab’s price in the market is surprising considering his 5ft 9in frame, but Johnson looks like the value pick at 6/1 here. He could certainly take a few shots like a champ and maybe even push for victory.

The only physical activity we’ve ever seen Johnson partake in was bulldozing through a ten-year-old boy whilst playing rugby in Japan however, so he’s likely to feel out of his depth up against other grown men.
