Leicester City began life back in the Championship with a home game against Coventry City. They may have lost James Maddison to Spurs, but Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall looks set to fill that void.

Leicester City started their campaign today as they try to make a return to the Premier League. It was a tough opener against a Coventry City side who lost in the play-off final against Luton Town last season.

Now managed by Enzo Maresca, formerly a coach at Man City, they’ve managed to keep the core of their squad. The most noticeable player to depart was Maddison to Spurs.

If any of the Foxes fans were concerned about losing their playmaker, they’ve got a ready-made replacement in their squad.

Dewsbury-Hall, who has made 59 Premier League appearances, was the game winner for Leicester City. His performance caught the eye of many people on social media.

Dewsbury-Hall Shows His Quality

Leicester City fell behind to a Kyle McFadzean header and were lucky to not be further behind as the game progressed.

Luckily for the hosts, Dewsbury-Hall turned on the style to help them overturn the 1-0 scoreline to win 2-1.

He scored both of their goals in the game, but his second was the pick of the two as he easily found top corner.

Dewsbury-Hall was the talk of social media after the game. He’s one to watch for Leicester City as they look for an immediate return to the Premier League.
