The Andrew Balding runner Chaldean will of course be popular in the Group Three Greenham Stakes – he’s one of the fancies for next month’s 2000 Guineas. However, Kevin Blake feels he’s worth taking on with the Eve Johnson Houghton runner Streets Of Gold.

This 3 year-old is taken a big step up in grade but heads here having won ALL five of his starts and there could be more to come. The last was a nice win at York over this trip, so we know he stays and has also handled cut before too.

The step up in grade will require more but he looked to have a bit up his sleeve the last day and in a race that revolves totally around the Frankie Dettori-ridden Chaldean, there looks to be some value further down the market.

• 3:15 – BetGoodwin Spring Cup Handicap Cl2 (4yo+) 1m ITV: LATTAM @ 9/4

Won the Irish Lincoln last time out for trainer William Haggas and even though he only just got up, Kevin Blake was impressed with how he got out of trouble that day.

Lattam didn’t look the winner a few furlongs out, but showed a great turn-of-foot to get back in the race and that suggests he could be useful and even progress out of handicap company very soon. He’s now won 3 of his 5 starts, with his only defeats coming when tried over a bit further.

This 1m trip is ideal and having won with give underfoot then the recent rain won’t be an issue.
