Atletico Madrid star, Joao Felix, has reportedly agreed to join Al Hilal, as his spell in the Spanish capital looks all but over.

The Portuguese international is believed to had talks with the Saudi Arabian side, as he looks for a fresh challenge this season.

After a frustrating loan-spell at Chelsea, where Felix scored four goals in 20 appearances, the 23-year-old’s future has has been surrounded with doubt.

A permanent return to Atletico Madrid has been deemed ‘unlikely’ and due to the Blues failing to qualify for the Champions League – Felix will not return to Stamford Bridge this summer.

A host of sides are reportedly interested in the La Liga superstar, as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and PSG are all keen acquiring his services.

However, clubs may be deterred from signing the former Benfica striker, as Atletico Madrid are demanding  ‘€100m’ and are unwilling to loan Felix out once more.

A fee for the former Benfica star may not be an issue for Al Hilal, as negotiations between both parties have progressed.

As Saudi Arabia prepare to bid for a future World Cup, the nation have welcomed an abundance of top talent in hopes of strengthening their chances.

A host of Europe’s best players have moved to Saudi Arabia this summer, after Cristiano Ronaldo paved the way in January as he signed for Al-Nassr from Manchester United.

Current Balon D’Or winner, Karim Benzema, ended his long spell at Real Madrid and joined Al-Ittihad – in a deal that is set to earn the Frenchman £100m a year.

The latest player to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia is Kylian Mbappe, however, the Frenchman rejected the oportunity despite PSG accepting a £250m bid for the global superstar – in a deal that would have earned the youngster £650m a year.

The 23-year-old has four-years remaining on his current deal and Al Hilal are reportedly interested in signing Felix on a one year loan.
