Leeds boss Jesse Marsch has been slashed to 11/4 in the latest odds as the next Premier League manager to be sacked after seeing defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Steve Cooper got the better of Jesse Marsch at the City Ground this afternoon, as Nottingham Forest defeated Leeds United 1-0, thanks to a Brennan Johnson stunner.

There were only three points to separate the sides ahead of the match, with both fighting for their Premier League survival.

Johnson’s sweetly-struck volley in the 14th minute was the only goal of the match, securing all three points for the hosts, leaving Leeds in 17th place in the Premier League table, level on points with 18th place Everton.

Is Jesse Marsch’s Job Really On The Line After Defeat To Forest?

According to Premier League betting sites, Marsch is priced at around 11/4 to be sacked by Leeds, having previously been priced at 7/1 ahead of the match.

The American is the third favourite in the next to be sacked odds, behind Southampton’s Nathan Jones and Bournemouth’s Gary O’Neil.

Leeds have now lost 10 Premier League matches this season, but remain in the FA Cup, after overcoming Accrington Stanley 3-1 last week.

Marsch’s side narrowly avoided relegation last season, but with the marquee signings of Weston McKennie and Georginio Rutter, the Whites will look to avoid a similar near-miss at the end of this season.

Up next for Leeds is trip to Old Trafford, as they take on rivals Manchester United.
