As YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul prepares to get back in the ring once again, the question on everyone’s mind is, at what point can the former be classed as an opponent worth taking seriously?
With that in mind, we are taking a look at ‘The Problem Child’s boxing record up to this points, and whether it is convincing enough to justify him as a real, professional boxer.
Jake Paul Boxing Record
Since his debut around five years ago, Jake Paul has gone on to register seven wins from eight fights – this is excluding an amateur fight with YouTube star Deji.
Of those seven wins, Paul has claimed one split decision, two unanimous decisions and four knockouts. It is evident that ‘The Problem Child’ trains extremely hard and takes boxing seriously. He is here to stay, and looks to hang about in the sport for years to come.
Below we have outlined each of Jake Paul’s eight professional fights, as well as his one amateur bout prior to turning pro. Whether you like it or not, it is evident that Jake Paul has a bit of talent as a boxer.
Jake Paul vs Deji (2018)
Jake Paul’s introduction to the ring began with an undercard fight on the evening of KSI and Logan Paul’s first bout. Coincidentally, his debut match mirrored the main event, with Jake taking on KSI’s little brother Deji.
Despite walking away with a bloodied nose, it was a solid display that kick-started his yearning for a pro contract.
Jake Paul vs AnEsonGib (2020)
Following his first taster of life in the ring, his next fight was against another fellow YouTube star AnEsonGib, who endured a devastating first round knockout. This was officially Jake Paul’s pro boxing debut.
This certainly turned some heads in the boxing world, and handed Paul a thrilling taster of a first KO to propel him into a prospective third fight.

Jake Paul vs Nate Robinson (2020)
Being on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr is a huge catch for any budding young boxer, and Paul’s third fight saw him face-off in a high profile match against NBA star Nate Robinson.
Paul’s second round knockout made it three-for-three for his emerging boxing career. Two wins from two fights, with two KO’s as a professional. Emphatic.

Jake Paul vs Ben Askren (2021)
Paul’s third professional fight represented a significant step up from the YouTube and NBA stars he had previously brushed aside with ease.
Ben Askren, a former Olympian and UFC competitor, agreed to a showdown in April of 2021, the first time Paul had faced a pro fighter, which resulted in another convincing first round knockout to keep his upward career trajectory on the straight and narrow.
Paul moved to 3-0 with three KO’s in style.
Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley (2021)
That same year, former long-reigning UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley stepped into the ring with Paul, with the boxing world was fully expectant to see the latter pulled down from his pedestal.
However, after the bout went the full eight rounds, the YouTuber claimed an memorable split decision over one of the most accomplished pro fighters in history, although with his ego now at an all time high, Paul was intent on a rematch for a knockout opportunity.

That wish would come sooner than expected after a scheduled bout with Tommy Fury failed to materialise, and in his third fight of 2021 Paul registered his most impressive display yet.

A monstrous sixth round knockout raised eyebrows across the boxing world as purists began to shift in their seat.
Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva (2022)
Another seasoned veteran, Anderson Silva, stepped into the ring at 47-years-old and managed to go the distance despite Paul predicting he would claim a fifth round stoppage prior to the fight.
However, a unanimous decision at the end handed Paul his sixth straight career win. This was another huge win for ‘The Problem Child’, beating a UFC Hall of Famer.
Not only that, but Silva had previously beaten a legitimate world champion in Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, so Paul defeating ‘The Spider’ was another huge scalp. 6-0 as a professional now with four knockouts.
Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury (2023)
Jake Paul suffered the first defeat of his boxing career last time out as he faced bitter rival Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia back in February.
The fight went eight rounds, with the Englishman getting the nod on the judges’ scorecards via split decision. Paul did secure a knockdown in the final round, but was unable to end the fight with Fury getting his hand raised.
A rematch is now being talked about, with Paul posting several tweets aimed at Fury. It seems that Jake Paul wants to fight Tommy Fury for the second time, provided he comes away victorious in August against Nate Diaz.

Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz (2023)
The last time we saw Jake Paul in action was for his bout with former UFC fighter Nate Diaz in August 2023. The fight was the first time boxing fans saw the American back in the ring since his defeat to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia.
Paul put on a boxing clinic in his first fight post-defeat, hammering Diaz for 10 rounds to win a wide unanimous decision. ‘The Problem Child’ also floored the UFC veteran once in the bout, but couldn’t quite knock him out and add to his impressive knockout ratio.
That performance was one of the most one sided of Paul’s career, with boxing fans feeling that he is looking better than ever and could potentially even beat Tommy Fury in a rematch in 2024 if the fight happens. Not to mention a potential bout with KSI too.

Jake Paul vs Andre August (2023)
Jake Paul’s final fight of 2023 saw him take on a legitimate pro boxer in the form of Andre August. August was confident of upsetting the apple cart pre-fight, but that confidence was quickly diminished when he was emphatically knocked out in the very first round by ‘The Problem Child’.
The American former YouTuber landed a perfectly timed right uppercut midway through Round 1, sending August tumbling to the canvas. He was knocked out cold, with Jake Paul securing his first knockout victory in two years. What a shot.

Jake Paul vs Ryan Bourland (2024)
The first fight of 2024 for ‘The Problem Child’ once against saw him take on a legitimate pro boxer. Just like his last fight against Andre August, this one also didn’t last too long.

Jake Paul secured his second successive first round knockout. Paul looked levels above Bourland, who had a decent record of 17-2 going into the Paul bout. However, it was evident from the first bell that there was only going to be one winner.
That takes us up to now in the Jake Paul boxing record. He is continuing to learn in the pro ranks, but there is no doubt that he is a talent and could be a problem in years to come on the world scene.
