A fresh report from Football Insider has claimed that Chelsea target Illan Meslier wants to leave Leeds this summer, regardless of if they avoid relegation.

Chelsea scouts have attended Meslier’s games on multiple occasions this season, and is of major interest to the club.
The Frenchman signed a contract extension at Elland Road back in 2021, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2026.
Leeds have put a £40 million pricetag on the 23-year-old too, so his signature won’t come cheap for the Blues.
Javi Gracia’s side had hoped that avoiding relegation would convince Meslier to stay. However, it is now believed that their star goalkeeper wants to leave whether they are in the Premier League or not.

Chelsea might have some competition for his signature in the summer, though. Both Tottenham and Manchester United are said to be keen on securing his services as well.
Meslier has been with the Yorkshire side since joining from FC Lorient back in 2020.
In that time, he’s cemented himself as the club’s number one whilst receiving plaudits from fans and pundits all over the world.
This season, he’s made 34 appearances in all competitions as Leeds battle to avoid relegation.
Just two points clear of the drop zone, the Whites have a crucial run in between now and the end of the campaign.
In that time, Leeds still have to face Manchester City, Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham in what is sure to be a thrilling relegation battle.
