Harry Maguire’s move to West Ham looks to be in jeopardy this season, as the defender has demanded £7m from his current club as a pay-off to leave Old Trafford.

Harry Maguire looked set to join West Ham this summer, after a £30m fee was decided on and personal terms had been agreed for the 30-year-old to make the switch to London.

However the former Manchester United captain’s move has stalled today, after it was reported that Maguire is demanding £7m from the Red Devils as a pay-off for leaving Old Trafford.

West Ham have reportedly grown frustrated with United and Maguire, who have constantly delayed a deal going through in a difficult window for the Hammers.

David Moyes is still looking to spend the money his side earned from Declan Rice earlier this summer, after the Hammers captain made a £100m switch across London to play for Arsenal.

Another star who could be on his way out this summer is Lucas Paqueta, with Manchester City registering their interest in the Brazilian midfielder over recent weeks.

Losing both Paqueta and Rice in the same window would be a huge blow for West Ham, but they would have no shortage of funds to bring in the talent needed ahead of what could be a difficult season for the Hammers.

West Ham have brought in Southampton and England superstar James Ward-Prowse this summer, as well as Mexican midfielder Edson Alvarez from Ajax.

Another United player David Moyes was reportedly interested in bringing in was Scott McTominay, as a fee of around £65m had been offered for both the Scotsman and Maguire which was quickly rejected by United.

Although the Harry Maguire deal has not yet completely collapsed, West Ham have grown tired of the constant delays in any signing and they look likely to walk away from any deal with the Red Devils.
