Harry Kane has become Tottenham Hotspur’s all-time record goalscorer with his first half strike in huge game against Manchester City.

Kane’s strike allowed him to surpass Jimmy Greaves at the top of Spurs’ all-time record goalscorer list, and he also became the third player to score 200 Premier League goals. The other two players to achieve that feat are Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer.

The 29-year-old put Spurs ahead after 15 minutes thanks to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s pass.

It’s taken Kane 416 games to top the all-time record goalscorer list. Greaves scored 266 goals in 379 games for Tottenham between 1961 and 1970, taking him a little less longer.

Kane has now scored 19 goals in 31 games for Spurs this season, and has finally broken the record after levelling it with a strike against Fulham on January 23rd.

He scored his first goal in a Spurs shirt in 2011, against Shamrock Rovers in the Europa League before loan stints at Norwich in the top flight and Leicester in the Championship.
