Top jockey Frankie Dettori was the first to be voted out of the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here jungle on Sunday night – leaving nine campmates behind, including the new betting favourite Tony Bellew.
Frankie Dettori Voted Out Of I’m A Celebrity First
Popular jockey Frankie Dettori, who was one of the oldest I’m A Celebrity campmates at 52, was the first campmate to be voted off the hit ITV show by the public on Sunday night.
Dettori received the lowest votes and left camp on Sunday evening’s show, with YouTuber Nella Rose next best and looking sure to be one of the next to go.
Frankie was one of the jungle late entries for their 23rd series, along with boxer Tony Bellew, but failed to wow the ITV audiences despite having to do his fair share of trials.
The jockey spent around 10 days in the Aussie jungle and was thrust into the action as a team coach with scouse boxer Tony Bellew.
Frankie first bit of jungle action was to win his opening trial for his team and in the process help them land a much-needed ‘Breakfast Of Champions’ watch below).
However, once getting into the jungle Frankie seemed to take more of a backseat in the general camp life and this led him to being one of the favourites to leave first. Which proved correct on the first elimination night on Sunday 3rd December.
On exiting he leaves nine campmates behind in the jungle, with one now expected to be voted off each night until there are three left for the final on Sunday 10th December.
Dettori will now to wait around in Australia with his wife Catherine, who was there to greet him on the famous exit rope bridge, for the show to finish. But back in the world of luxury at the 6-star hotel the ITV show put up all their celebs and families in.
The jockey also famously recently did a retirement U-turn from riding and will continue in the saddle next year as he plans to ride in the US in California.
Frankie Tipping Sam Thompson To Win
After the show in his Ant and Dec interview, Frankie was tipping DJ and presenter Sam Thompson to be crowned King Of The Jungle.
Saying “He’s larger than life, but nuts and very funny”

Jamie Lynn Spears and Grace Dent Had Already Left The Show
Despite Frankie Dettori being the first to be voted out of I’m A Celebrity, he wasn’t technically the first to go.
Jamie Lynn Spears, the sister of Britney, and food critic Grace Dent both left the show earlier in the week due to medical reasons.
