Welcome to the latest article in a new series for the 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League season from @FPL_Heisenberg for SportsLens. In this weekly series, Heisenberg will be looking into the best three players for your FPL team – along with one juicy differential.

Heisenberg has a proven track record in FPL, having finished inside the top 1% of FPL managers in each of the last nine seasons – including a best finish of 836th. Let’s cook!

For this weeks article I’m going to pick a player from each of the four teams who plays twice in double Gameweek 25 – Manchester City, Liverpool, Luton and Brentford.

Last week I chose Diogo Jota, Erling Haaland, Ivan Toney and Alfie Doughty. They are all good options but I want to highlight some different players this week.

Darwin Nunez (Fixture: Brentford, Away & Luton, Home)

Darwin Nunez has been producing the goods in FPL this season – despite being frustrating in front of goal. This season he has 8 goals and 9 assists.

He was in and out of the team at the beginning of the season, but now he’s a regular for Jurgen Klopp he’s getting a good run in the team, so I expect ‘Captain Chaos’ to be involved in goals and assists – his creativity is underrated – in the double.

Facing two sides in the bottom half of the table I’m fully expecting Jurgen Klopp’s men to score plenty of goals. Should that happen, it’ll likely be a very solid FPL return for Darwin Nunez.

An honourable mention here to Mohamed Salah who is also a great pick this week – if you can afford him. With any Liverpool asset you may bring in this week, make sure you have a plan to either sell or bench them in Gameweek 26 when they blank.

Phil Foden (Fixture: Chelsea, Home & Brentford, Home)

Pep Guardiola’s team play at home twice Gameweek 25 – and we all know they are phenomenal at home. Chelsea and Brentford aren’t ordinarily considered easy games but with Chelsea languishing in 10th position and Brentford in 14th it’s a very strong double for the best club side in world football.

Phil Foden scored at home to Brentford last season and scored a hat trick against Brentford recently so he certainly likes playing Thomas Frank’s men.

Furthermore, he continued his form in the recent Champions League game with a goal and an assist so he’s bang in form. This season he’s scored 8 goals and assisted 7 times, he’s on course for his most productive season ever.

Now is the time to back Foden as Manchester City embark on a run of solid fixtures in the next few Gameweeks. Another positive for Man City assets is they have a fixture in blank Gameweek 26 – whereas Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Luton do not.

Furthermore, they are the best team in the league and as we all know, this is the time of the season when they really kick into gear.

Sergio Reguilon (Fixtures: Liverpool, Home & Manchester City, Away)

Sergio Reguilon has recently joined the Bees and has already found himself on set piece duty, grabbing an assist from a corner vs Wolves last Gameweek.

The fixtures look very hard in the double for Brentford, but with his attacking threat and the important fact of no blank in Gameweek 26 nor 29, Brentford players make solid medium-term picks.

Honourable mention to Ivan Toney who I recommended last week. He is the main man for Brentford, both in terms of goal contributions and minutes on the pitch. He’s played 90 minutes in each of his four appearances this season and he was a 90 minute man last season – which is great for the potential of late goals which has happened a lot this season.

He’s also on penalties and he has a solid track record of converting the majority of the ones he’s taken.

Differential

Elijah Adebayo (Fixture: Man United, Home & Liverpool, Away)

Elijah Adebayo (who is owned by less than 6% of managers at the time of writing) has been a great differential in recent weeks. He has nine goals and one assist this season which is a great return for a £4.9m Forward.

Luton have surprised everyone this season and they’ll be looking to continue their strong overall form (notwithstanding the Sheffield United result!) in these two games, looking to upset the big boys!

Adebayo is a solid long-term pick too with two double gameweeks in Gameweek 25 and 28 – and he is cheap enough to bench when Luton blank in Gameweek 26.
