Welcome to the latest article in a new series for the 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League season from @FPL_Heisenberg for Sports Lens. In this week’s edition, Heisenberg will be looking into the best three players for your FPL team – along with one juicy differential.

Heisenberg has a proven track record in FPL, having finished inside the top 1% of FPL managers in each of the last 9 seasons – including a best finish of 836th. Let’s cook!

For this week’s article I’m going to pick a player from each of the four teams who plays twice in Double Gameweek 25 – Man City, Liverpool, Luton and Brentford – as I believe we should be using our transfers now to prep for it, whilst also getting in good players for Premier League Gameweek 24.

FPL Heisenberg Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 24: Have Jota, Haaland & Toney On Your FPL Radar

Diogo Jota (Fixture: Burnley, Home)

Diogo Jota has been in fantastic form in the last 5 games, scoring 4 and assisting 3. He’s suffered with injuries this season, but now that’s behind him and he’s getting a solid run in the team I expect ‘Jota the Slotter’ to continue doing his thing.

Facing a Burnley side who are struggling this season, I expect a home win for Liverpool and plenty of goals for the Reds. Should that happen, it’ll likely be a big FPL return for Diogo Jota.

An honourable mention here to Darwin Nunez who I think is also a great pick this week. Liverpool face Burnley at home in Gameweek 24 followed by Brentford and Luton double in Gameweek 25 which is why I am going all in on Liverpool this week. Just make sure you have a plan to either sell or bench them in Gameweek 26 when they blank.

Erling Haaland (Fixture: Everton, Home)

Pep Guardiola’s team play Everton at home in Gameweek 24. Sean Dyche’s boys have been solid defensively in recent weeks but I still fancy Manchester City to score a few goals against any opposition.

Erling Haaland is getting back to full fitness. Importantly, he played 85 minutes against Brentford and although he was rusty in front of goal, it’s still a positive sign that he was able to play pretty much the whole match. This season he’s scored 14 goals, which is more than any other player despite his injury layoff.

Now is the time to back Haaland as the embark on a run of three home fixtures in the next two Gameweeks. Another positive for Man City assets is they don’t blank in Gameweek 26 – whereas Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Luton do. Furthermore, they are the best team in the league and as we all know, this is the time of the season when they really kick into gear.

Ivan Toney (Fixture: Wolves, Away)

Ivan Toney has returned from his long ban with a bang netting 2 goals and grabbing 1 assist in 3 games since his return – safe to say he’s picked up where he left off last season. A decent enough fixture for the Englishman away to a Wolves side that concede plenty of goals.

Toney is the main man for Brentford, both in terms of goal contributions and minutes on the pitch. He’s played 90 minutes in each of his three appearances this season and he was a 90 minute man last season – which is great for the potential of late goals which has happened a lot this season. He’s also on penalties and he has a solid track record of converting the majority of the ones he’s taken.

I’m predicting goals for both teams in this one – I’d be surprises if Toney blanks. He also has a double Gameweek in GW25 and doesn’t blank in GW26 so he’s a solid pick for the future too.

Differential

Alfie Doughty (Fixture: Sheffield United, Home)

Alfie Doughty (who is owned by less than 6% of managers at the time of writing) has been an assist machine from fullback this season for the Hatters. He has 7 assists this season, the only defenders with more are Trippier and Porro.
Luton have surprised everyone this season and they’ll be looking to continue their strong form at home to bottom of the league Sheffield United.

Doughty is a solid long-term pick too with two double gameweeks coming up in GW 25 and 28 (just make sure you can bench him when he blanks in Gameweek 26).
