Floyd Mayweather has returned to the UK to fight reality TV star Aaron Chalmers in an exhibition match tonight, but the fight has failed to interest fans.
Since Mayweather’s last professional fight against Conor McGregor, he has held numerous boxing exhibitions against young fighters and celebrities. The likes of Logan Paul and Deji (KSI’s brother) have stepped into the ring with the boxing great.
Many supporters of Mayweather have deemed his recent boxing actions as a way to make money, as he tends to outclass and embarrass his opponents. And it seems that fans feel the same way about tonight’s bout against Geordie Shore star, Aaron Chalmers.

It was revealed over the last few days that the fight has failed to sell the 02 stadium out. It has a capacity of 20 thousand and tickets were even slashed by 20% to try and increase the attendance. Mayweather’s opponent was asked about the lack of sales.
Chalmers responded with: “Well, my barber was saying that Jamaal Lascelles was on about getting tickets for the fight. I’m not sure he’ll be able to get tickets for the fight when he’s got a big cup final the next day. I’m hoping a lot of people will be tuning in.”
After tonight’s exhibition match Mayweather may be cautious about competing in another one, as it’s clear fans are not too keen on this new path. Which may answer why there were so many empty seats.
