Manchester United have seen their FA Cup winner odds slashed to 7/2, after a 2-1 victory over West Ham as they keep their quadruple hopes alive.

Manchester United came into this FA Cup tie as clear favourites, following their recent Carabao Cup final victory. However, it was the visitors who looked full of confidence in the opening half, creating some good chances.

Michail Antonio should have put the Hammers ahead after he was in one-on-one against David de Gea. Unfortunately for West Ham supporters the striker shot straight at the Spanish goalkeeper and the score stayed level.

The Red Devils started the match poorly but they did create a few chances of their own. Loanee Marcel Sabitzer had the best opportunity of the half as he forced a great save from Alphonse Areola in the West Ham net.

David Moyes’ side took a shock lead after a defensive switch-off from the Red Devils. Said Benhrama punished with a superb strike into the top right corner. United started the half as sluggishly as they started the first.

Ten Hag was forced into substitutions yet again as he brought on Casemiro at the break and Marcus Rashford was brought on to help level the scoreline. Casemiro thought he’d found the equaliser but his header was ruled out by VAR for offside.

United levelled things with 15 minutes to go as Bruno Fernandes’ corner was put into the back of the net by Nayef Aguerd, scoring his first own-goal of the season. Ten Hag’s side secured the victory as Alejandro Garnacho scored a last-minute winner and Fred secured their spot into the next round.

Can Manchester United Win Another Trophy?

The word quadruple has been used a lot by United fans and even the players, with the club securing their first piece of silverware last Sunday. Erik ten Hag’s side are still in contention to win the Europa League and Premier League.

United have the small challenge of an away trip to Liverpool in their next Premier League fixture and they will be looking to make it a league double over Liverpool for the first time in over five years.
