Exeter vs Luton Prediction

Fresh from picking up their first ever Premier League point at the weekend, Luton travel to Exeter looking to make it through to the fourth round of the cup safely. With not many wins expected this season, the Hatters will hope to have a decent cup run alongside their league campaign.

Rob Edwards’ side came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Wolves at home last time out, and will look to build on that performance this time around.

As for Exeter, they had been having a decent start to the new League One season, but have lost their last two games in all competitions shipping 12 goals in the process. They lost 3-0 to Oxford United at the weekend and were hammered 9-0 by Reading in the Football League Trophy last week in a shocking performance from Gary Caldwell’s side.

Confidence will be low in the Exeter camp after two poor defeats in a row taking them to a tally of three losses in their last four games, and Luton travel to St James Park having picked up their first Premier League point at the weekend.

Edwards’ side drew with Wolves thanks to a Carlton Morris penalty, and will have what it takes to make it to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup for the first time since 2007-08.

The Hatters could have won their game last time out against Wolves, but Chiedozie Ogbene saw his goal disallowed late on. Luton to win without conceding is a solid selection for us we can find value in, especially given Exeter’s recent poor form.
