Former Chelsea and Brighton manager Graham Potter is reportedly being considered as a potential candidate to take over at Napoli, with current manager Rudi Garcia under pressure after a mixed start to the campaign.
Napoli haven’t kicked off their Serie A title defence how they would’ve hoped, as they sit fifth in the league table – seven points adrift of leaders AC Milan after eight games.
Luciano Spalletti led the Naples-based side to their first Scudetto in 33 years last term, however at the end of the campaign he decided to resign in favour of taking charge of the Italian national team.
Subsequently, this saw French coach Rudi Garcia appointed at the helm of the Italian champions, but after a mixed start to the campaign – pressure is mounting and potential replacements are already being touted across numerous media outlets.
One of those is none other than Graham Potter, who was sacked by Chelsea last season after joining from Brighton earlier in the campaign.
Potter has turned down approaches from the likes of Lyon and Rangers since losing his job, as it is believed that he isn’t in a rush to return to management and is waiting for the right job to come along – so could that be Napoli?

Potter isn’t the only ex-Premier League boss to be in the running to replace Garcia, as former Chelsea and Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is also being tipped for the role, with the Italian still out of work since departing Spurs last season.
Igor Tudor, formerly of Marseille, is another who has been linked with a move to Naples, and he also holds previous Serie A experience with the likes of Udinese, Juventus and Hellas Verona.
Former River Plate boss Marcelo Gallardo, who has been linked to Premier League jobs in the past, is another name that is reportedly in the hat to rival Potter and co. for the managerial role at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
