Everton are now back above evens to be relegated according to the latest bookies odds after a monumental 1-0 win against league leaders Arsenal.

Sean Dyche marked his first game as Toffees manager with a huge win at Goodison Park thanks to James Tarkowski’s second-half header giving the hosts a deserved 1-0 win.

The result leaves Everton in 17th place, one point clear of the danger zone – however wins today from either Wolves (vs Liverpool) and Bournemouth (vs Brighton) would push them back down.

Can Sean Dyche keep Everton from relegation?

Sean Dyche faces an uphill task to keep Everton from relegation to the Championship, but a tough run of fixtures ahead spells further cause for concern amongst the fanbase.

Next up is the Merseyside derby as Everton face Liverpool on Monday Night Football, with nine days of rest for both sides heading into the fixture.

Impressive performances from Dwight McNeil, Amadou Onana, Alex Iwobi and the Everton backline as a whole proved enough to overcome the league leaders on Saturday lunchtime.

Prior to the defeat, Mikel Arteta’s side had lost just once in the league to Manchester United in September and have now had their lead at the top cut to just five points after 20 games played.

We’re just over halfway through the Premier League season with plenty still to happen at both ends of the table.
