Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has revealed that he is trying to convince Argentina teammate Paulo Dybala to join him in West London this summer.

The Blues have been linked with a move for the Roma forward and could sign him for just £10million due a release clause in his contract. Fellow Argentine Mauricio Pochettino is known to have an interest in Dybala and tried to sign him when he was Tottenham manager.

Dybala could be a third attacking signing of the summer for Chelsea, following the signings of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.

Fernandez and Dybala are good friends and are familiar with each other from their time with the national team. The pair won the World Cup together last year and could be playing together again in the Premier League.

Asked about Dybala being linked to Chelsea, Fernandez told the media: “Yes, I saw something about that. We’ll see. I hope he comes.

“I talked to him and told him that I’m waiting for him to share a barbecue or something. I need someone to share the mates.”

Thiago Silva was also quizzed about Dybala at the British Grand Prix over the weekend: “I saw Paulo Dybala here, (the media) talk about him coming to Chelsea.

“I’ve talked with him and asked him if he is coming. He is a world-class player. I would love to play with him and it would be a massive signing. Let’s see.”
