Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has pleaded that the Bees let him make the move to Tottenham this summer, with personal terms already agreed.

Raya has been a keeper linked with moves all across the Premier League this summer, but it seems Spurs might have beat Manchester United to the punch on this one.

Tottenham have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Brentford goalkeeper, who has made it clear that he is looking for more of a challenge next season.

“I have ambitions to make the next step in my career. I want to try to win titles and to compete in Europe in the next couple of years.

“I’m 27 now and I feel like I’m at the point in my career when I want to make that step up. There are options out there but it’s not just my ambitions, the club also needs to let me go.”

Although Spurs finished just one spot above Brentford last season, new boss Ange Postecoglou will be keen on putting his side back on the map and in contention for a Champions League finish.

Just last week Brentford’s director Lee Dykes said that Tottenham would have to ‘pay double’ in order to secure the signing of their goalkeeper this summer.

While the two clubs are yet to come to an agreement over Raya, it seems the long serving Brentford keeper could be on his way across London to Spurs.
