The Hammers could be without a new manager on the first day of the season, with Moyes looking highly likely to leave in the near future.

Moyes is understood to have been keen to bring in players with Premier League experience such as Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay, but those moves haven’t happened due to disagreements with the West Ham hierarchy.

Fans of the club would have hoped that the funds raised by selling Declan Rice would have been spent accordingly, but nothing has materialised yet. Arsenal payed the Hammers £105m for Rice, but they are yet to replace him after failing to land moves for the likes of Conor Gallagher and James Ward-Prowse.
