David Moyes’ tenure at West Ham could be coming to an end with the Scotsman now being the odds on favourite to be sacked in the latest Premier League manager to be sacked odds.

West Ham have just five victories from 23 matches in the Premier League this term – a return that leaves them in the relegation zone, one point from safety.

The players, of course, have been subject to plenty of criticism – but it’s the manager David Moyes who looks to be getting the brunt of it.

Despite West Ham still being in Europe and the FA Cup, Moyes’ job seems to be on the ropes due to the terrible performances displayed in the Premier League.

A favourable draw in the last-16 of the Conference League may see Moyes last a little while longer in the job however, as the Hammers drew Cyprus’ AEK Larnaca in this morning’s draw.

Reports have suggested though, that if 59-year-old can’t inspire his side to a victory against newly-promoted Nottingham Forest at the weekend – his job will be in real peril.

David Moyes’ Comments

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the tie against Forest, Moyes admitted that he is feeling the pressure to deliver now.

“When you’ve had six out of eight games away from home, it does put things a little bit more into perspective.

“The truth is we’ve been away from home so much. We’ve had an incredible amount of away games in this period.

“I wasn’t surprised [to see Bournemouth and Southampton getting results last weekend] because I think the Premier League has got that in it. We’ll have our big results on our day, which will come, and I’ve got no doubt we’ll get a win away from home.

“I think all managers are under pressure. I think all managers have a level of it. If you’re at the top, you have to continue winning, and if you’re at the bottom you have to make sure you avoid the absolute bottom of the table. So we’re all under pressure. “
