Kevin De Bruyne is not expected to be fit and ready for use at Guardiola’s disposal. The Belgian has been suffering from a thigh injury, and although he was named on the bench in all three of City’s pre-season clashes, he failed to get on the pitch.
Nathan Ake is another worry for City having failed to feature in their final pre-season outing versus Atletico Madrid. Guardiola confirmed that the Dutchman wasn’t risked as he was tired and due to his injury history, however it is largely expected that he will be available to face Arsenal.
