Chelsea are reportedly willing to continue their pursuit for AC Milan star, Rafael Leao, despite the Portuguese international signing a new deal with the Serie A side.
The Blues are having their worst season since the Premier League began, as they currently sit 11th in the table with only two games left to play.
Graham Potter was appointed in early September, however after a run of poor results the former Brighton manager was relieved of his duties.
Fans were left surprised by Potter’s replacement, as Frank Lampard returned to the club for his second spell in charge.
The former Chelsea midfielder has struggled to turn things around at Stamford Bridge, as they have only managed to win once since Lampard took the reins.
However, the Englishman is not set to be at the helm next season, with Mauricio Pochettino reportedly agreeing terms to become the next Chelsea manager.
Summer signings will be key for the Blues and one player that is reportedly being targeted is AC Milan star, Rafael Leao.

The Portugal international recently signed a new deal with Milan, which is set to keep him in Italy until 2027. Despite this, the Blues are keen on signing the 22-year-old in a deal that could cost over £100m.
Summer signings, Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke have failed to impress on the Chelsea wings and Leao could be the man to bring joy back to Stamford Bridge.
Milan are currently in the midst of a Champions League semi-final against their fierce rivals, Inter. The blue side of the city are 2-0 up going into the second-leg, after Leao’s absence caused huge issues for Milan.
Chelsea are not the only side interested in the young superstar, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid all being linked.
A fee of £100m may be a stumbling block in negotiations, however, after spending over half a billion pounds in the last two windows, the Blues will be confident in their approach.
