Chelsea are set to offer both Romelu Lukaku and Kalidou Koulibaly in any deal they propose to Inter Milan for goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The Blues have been keen to sign a new goalkeeper, and are now ready to make a move on the Inter goalkeeper following the Italians’ Champions League final defeat to Manchester City on Saturday night.

Chelsea’s current two keepers, Kepa Arrizabalaga an d Edouard Mendy are facing an uncertain future as part of a major overhaul of the squad. Mendy cannot agree terms on a new contract meanwhile Kepa has failed to live up this world record price tag of £72m.

And, the West Londoners have received a huge boost in their pursuit for Onana as Inter have already found a replacement in Guglielmo Vicario from Serie A rivals Empoli.

However, they are still demanding £55m from Chelsea for Onana. This is why Chelsea are resorting to offering players in the deal to keep the cost down with a need to boost their FFP position.

If Onana does sign for the Blues, he’d be able to fully commit to club responsibilities after retiring from international football.

Lukaku has spent the last season on loan at Inter, and is due to return to London for talks with new boss Mauricio Pochettino, but would prefer to remain playing in Italy.

There has also been talks with Inter about swapping Onana for out-of-favour defender Kalidou Kouliably.
