Chelsea are reportedly lining up a move for Leeds midfielder, Tyler Adams, as negotiations for Moises Caicedo continue to frustrate the Blues.

Chelsea are set to to turn their attention to Leeds United star, Tyler Adams, as midfield reinforcements continue to be the priority at Stamford Bridge.

Brighton have now rejected three bids for Ecuadorian international, Moises Caicedo, with the latest £80m attempt still being deemed to low of a fee.

A host of departures have made additions a necessity this summer, with the likes of Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and N’Golo Kante all leaving the club – following a poor 2022-23 season.

The Blues had a catastrophic campaign, as they finished 12th in the Premier League and recorded the lowest points tally in the club’s history.

Former Brighton manager, Graham Potter, was hired in September and was sacked after just six-months following a poor run of results.

His replacement, Frank Lampard, was unable to improve life at Stamford Bridge and the Blues ended the season without a single victory over any side in the top six.

This poor performance has made summer signings a priority, as Chelsea are reportedly set to continue their huge spending that saw them bring in over £500m worth of players in the last two windows, as they target the American midfielder, Tyler Adams.

After an impressive spell in the MLS for New York Red Bulls, Adams earned a move to Bundesliga giants, RB Leipzig and contributed to six goals in 103 appearances.

Dominating the midfield, the 24-year-old established himself as one of the brightest prospects in Europe and became a household name in the USNMT squad.

In the summer of 2022, Adams moved to Leeds United and was tipped to achieve great things in England’s top-flight, however the campaign did not go according to plan and the Whites’ were relegated from the Premier League.

The former Leipzig midfielder has four years remaining on his current contract, meaning any deal to sign the American could cost Chelsea up to £40m.
