Callum Wilson Believes Newcastle United Target James Maddison Will Leave Leicester City Soon

Newcastle United have been heavily linked with James Maddison in the past 12 months, and now Magpies striker Callum Wilson has commented on the Leicester City ace’s future. We’re also taking a look at the latest James Maddison next club odds.

The Magpies have been linked with Maddison since they were taken over by Saudi Arabian investors last year. Since the takeover, Newcastle have spent their money wisely. They’ve invested in some excellent players, including Alexander Isak and Sven Botman amongst others.

Eddie Howe’s side are on track to achieve European football next season, and could play a big part in whether Maddison can be prized away from the King Power Stadium.

After impressing in his first ever England start on Sunday against Ukraine, rumours are surfacing once again over the possibility of Maddison playing at St James’ Park next season.

The Leicester star has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, despite the Foxes sitting 17th in the table. Having scored nine goals assisting six times in 20 league games, there’s no shock that Newcastle are expected to push for his signature once again.

With Madders reportedly being Newcastle’s top target this summer, Callum Wilson has had his say.

“I think he deserves the opportunity, especially for how long he’s been at Leicester and how much he’s given the club.
