High-flying Burnley welcome Fleetwood Town to Turf Moor on Wednesday evening, with the latter already claiming a Championship scalp in this year’s FA Cup. Below you will find all the latest odds, team news and predictions in our Burley vs Fleetwood preview.
Burnley vs Fleetwood Preview
Burnley are racing away at the top of the Championship under the guidance of ex-City defender Vincent Kompany, and look set for a swift return back to the top-flight after dropping down last season.
The Clarets have lost just twice in the league this term, and head into this midweek FA Cup tie in the midst of a 14 game unbeaten streak that stretches back to the end of December.
They have proven their worth as a potential Premier League side having swept aside Bournemouth away from home in the third round, firing four goals past them in a six-goal classic, although they were forced to a replay by Ipswich Town and were pushed to the limit, eventually prevailing with a last-gasp 2-1 win courtesy of a Nathan Tella brace.

As for their fifth round opponents Fleetwood, they are sitting comfortably in mid-table down in League One, and head into Wednesday evening having not tasted defeat in their previous six.
They managed to scrape through against fellow third division side and league leaders Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth round, but their defining moment in the FA Cup so far came when beating Championship side QPR in the third round, enjoying a seemingly comfortable win at the Highbury Stadium.

Burnley vs Fleetwood Team News
The hosts will be without a number of names, as was the case in their 4-0 thumping of Huddersfield last time out. Darko Churlinov, Jay Rodriguez, Benson Manuel and Taylor Harwood-Bellis will all miss out in midweek, although manager Vincent Kompany will likely rotate with the likes of Vitinho, Jack Cork and Lyle Foster the most obvious choices to step in.
Burnley Line-Up: Peacock-Farrell; Vitinho, Al-Dakhil, Beyer, Taylor; Cullen, Brownhill; Obafemi, Twine, Zaroury; Foster.
As for Fleetwood, it is likely manager Scott Brown will opt for a similar line-up to the one that edged Morecambe over the weekend, although cup-tied Jayden Stockley will need to be replaced, with Jack Marriot a likely option.
Fleetwood Line-Up: Lynch; Holgate, Nsiala, Andrew; Rooney, Vela, Warrington, Macadam, Robertson; Earl, Hayes.
Prediction: Burnley 3 – 0 Fleetwood
