German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly still insisting on signing Kyle Walker from Manchester City despite the player’s preference to remain at the Etihad.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are still pushing to sign Kyle Walker from Manchester City.
Reports linking the Bundesliga champions to Sheffield-born Walker emerged late last week, and despite the Englishman wanting to stay at the Etihad, Bayern are still pushing for a deal.
According to Sky Germany‘s report, the Bavarians are prepared to offer the City defender a two-year deal plus an option to extend for a further year.
This is an anomaly for Bayern, who don’t typically offer players over the age of 30 more than a one-year contract.
City are currently in talks with the 33-year-old over a new contract, and Sky Sports News have reported that the club have no intention of parting ways with him.

Despite City wanting to keep him, Walker has been linked with a move away from Pep Guardiola’s side for several months.
Links to Bayern Munich have been paired with links to Aston Villa, and more recently talks of a sensational return to newly-promoted boyhood club Sheffield United.
If his time at the Etihad is to come to an end, finishing with a treble is surely the most perfect way to sign off.
Since arriving at the club six years ago, Walker has won the Premier League on five occasions, the FA Cup twice, the Carabao Cup four times, the Community Shield twice, and has most recently lifted the Champions League trophy for the first time in his career.
