Blackburn Rovers FA Cup Winner Odds: Riversiders Priced At 66/1 To Lift Trophy After Leicester City Upset

The latest Blackburn Rovers FA Cup winner odds see The Riversiders priced at 66/1 after they produced an upset to defeat Leicester City 2-1.

Despite winning the competition two seasons ago, the Foxes have now been dumped out by lower league opposition for the second season in a row.

Championship high-fliers Blackburn found themselves 2-0 up thanks to goals from Tyrhys Dolan and Sammie Szmodics, the latter also had a goal ruled out for offside.

Substitute and cup specialist Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back for Brendan Rodgers’ side, and despite a resilient effort to level the game, Leicester couldn’t find an equaliser. However, it was yet another game of sloppy defending and mistakes that caused another defeat for the Foxes.

Overall, it was an exciting game under the lights at the King Power Stadium, with a total of 36 shots between the two sides, 22 for the hosts and 14 for the visitors.

Could Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side dare to dream of a seventh FA Cup win? They’re certainly a long shot, but the fast-flowing attacking football that they play really does offer threat to other teams still left in the competition.

They’re doing so well in the Championship, so there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be looking to continue their strong FA Cup run. West Ham were the last team to win the competition outside of of the top flight back in 1980.
